DIPLOMA IN CIVIL (Charter Diploma)

OVERVIEW

Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. Civil engineering is the second-oldest engineering discipline after military engineering and it is defined to distinguish non-military engineering from military engineering. Civil engineering takes place in the public sector from municipal through to national governments, and in the private sector from individual homeowners through to international companies.

CAREER PROSPECTS

Civil engineers work as construction engineers, transportation engineers, hydraulic and irrigation engineers, geotechnical engineers, environmental engineers, public works engineers. Civil engineers are employed in the public and private sectors in large numbers in all branches of design, construction, maintenance of roads, highways, bridges, dams, canals, docks, airports, housing complexes and in environment management etc. Civil engineers also make a career in quality testing laboratories, join military and defence services, or work as consultants.

DURATION: Three Years / Two Years

ELIGIBILITY: 

For Entry into First Year: A pass in 10th Standard

For Lateral Entry into II Year: A pass in 12th Standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or a pass in ITI in relevant Stream

COURSE FEES: Registration Fee:  INR 1,000 and  Course Fee: INR 6,000 per annum
